The Treason of Images
I received this package today with this large sticker on it. I'm not exactly sure what it means or who it was intended for.In a related story, the President tells us that the government isn't "mining or trolling through the personal lives of millions of innocent Americans".
(Apologies to Rene Magritte).

Since the Bushies state that the NSA is not monitoring the actual content of phone calls and emails, I'm 100% certain they ARE do just that.
Has there ever been an administration such as this that basically does whatever it wants despite a little document called the Constitution?

Yes, the Nixon Administration. But you have a lot of Nixon fans who forgot just what he really was up to.

You're right. Nixon had quite a resurgence of popularity near the end of his life. I think people finally realized what a paranoid whack-job he was and kinda felt sorry for him. And believe my professional opinion, he was buck, freakin' nuts.

I never understood the pick-up of all the losers from previous republican administrations. Cheney, Rumsfeld now even Negroponte. Maybe after Vietnam they just wanted to show that they really could win a war in a small, weak foreign country. Moly Ivins comes up in a Google of "Nixon Bush": Big Brother Bush: Domestic spying threatens fabric of republic. Note this is from late 2005.

I saw a posting today of the full text of the 4th ammendment to the constitution (part of the Bill of Rights). It seems pretty plain to me that probably cause and warrants are required for any sort of investigation:
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

Bush's term will likely expire before it could happen, but isn't this a much more impeachable offense than lying about getting head from an intern?
