Begniets in Kyoto

Went to the Cafe Du Monde in the train station in Kyoto, Japan last weekend. The coffee was CDM and the begniets were authentic, with two small differences. First, they were smaller. maybe one-third the size of a standard New Orleans begniet. And then (inexplicably) they came in these Chineese food take-out boxes. I can just imagine some Yat negotiating with the Japanese saying "Yeah you rite! An' we can put them in those little Takee Outee boxes!". And of course, the Japanese would be too polite to tell him that this is for Chinese food, not Japanese. (Here are some more photos of CDM Kyoto).
