Haggard Admits Buying Meth
First this Representative in Florida (I forget his name already) and the congressional pages, now this? What is it with these right-wing leaders these days? Are they all drug-addled sodomites? The conservative leader of a 14,000 mega-church and the leader of the 30 million strong National Association of Evangelicals seems to have a small problem. Or two. A male prostitute say he bought meth and gay sex from him. A bunch of times. After considering these accusations for a few days, Rev. Haggard now says he didn't have sex, only a 'massage'. And while he did buy the meth, he threw it away. The male prostitute said he was paid regularly by Haggard over a three year period and has voicemail recordings. It's like the old days with Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Baker all over again.

He bought it, but then he threw it away....hmmm.....where have I heard that before??? How about "I smoked pot once, but I didn't inhale". And what political office is this guy running for? (Not the pot smoker, he already was president). Answer: None.
But as long as we're on the subject of trashing politicians, where's the outrage against real politician John Kerry who earlier this week implied that everyone in the military is an uneducated idiot? Oh wait, he's a left winger, so it's OK.

I'm more likely to be outraged by what our leaders do, than what they say. And the two seldom overlap anyway.

Looks like the full confession is in. Seems like you can never trust those meth-heads to give you a straight story.
For some reason this one fell off the 'headlines' pages on Google and Yahoo! pretty quickly. Unusual for a sex-drugs-power-and-religion scandal. I had to dig around to find this in today's USA today.

So what is worse? Pot smoking or sodomy? I smoked but I didn't inhale. I got it massaged but I didn't ........... What bothers me most is the hypocracy. And I find the sodomite more hypocritical. He may not be running for office, but he is out in front of a whole bunch of people espousing his opposition to something he is participating in.
As for Kerry: I did not hear him to say that everyone serving in the military is an uneducated idoit, nor even imply that they were.

I had never heard of this guy before. And they say he represents 30 million Americans (10% of the population). But this is all older than Elmer Gantry. The numbers are just bigger these days.
