Gas Rush Is On, and Louisianians Cash In
I've always found it odd that Louisiana produces nearly half of the oil and gas in the US, yet there is no 'Louisiana Oil Millionaire' in the popular culture. Texas and Oklahoma seem to have them. Even on TV The Beverly Hillbillies seem to be from Tennessee. One does not have to wonder too long about why the poeple of Louisiana never participated in this vast bonanza. But there seems to be a little bit of money ending up in the pockets of the people of Louisiana this time around: Gas Rush Is On, and Louisianians Cash In

Tin Roof Blowdown
I've been a fan of James Lee Burke's Dave Robicheaux stories for a few years. I haven't read them all, but I just finished his post-Katrina effort, The Tin Roof Blowdown. A good story with lots of south Louisiana local color.
