Ethanol Education

It's use is widespread, but ethanol doesn't seem to be a cure-all.

Get a horse!

  • Horses cause pollution, too. Think about doing a tenth of the work that gas burning engines do with horses. Get a shovel!

  • Phil Seymour hit the nail on the head the other day when he compared his attempts to walk to lunch in Germany (successfully) and in the United States (unsuccessfully).

If we continue to design our communities in such ways as to make autos the ONLY viable option of getting around, we're going to pay lots of $$$.

  • In my community, some very tiny percentage of road money is supposed to go to bike paths. But they never use the funds, because "no one rides bikes". Of course, they don't. There aren't any bike paths!

As far as Ethanol, you can't argue with what's going on in Brazil. But since there doesn't seem to be much money in it for established industries, it won't fly in the US.
