If they don't go to heaven, it makes you wonder why God made them in the first place. The whole idea of entire categories of people not having a shot at heaven sounds so old testament to me that I simply don't believe it. Do unbaptised babies go to heaven - of course they do.
This is just the Catholic Church dealing with their doctrine on "Original Sin". See, we are all born guilty, and need the Catholic Church to pour water on our little heads to get into heaven. People didn't like the idea that some infant that died suddenly without being baptized would go straight to hell, so these other places were invented. I never found it right to deny these infants Eternal Life, either.
Welcome to the official media outlet of M.I.R.T.H., a world-renowned think tank whose mission is explaining the world's complicated issues in a language that everyone can easily understand - the language of common sense. The Institute is named in honor Paul Morphy , native New Orleanian and perhaps the greatest chess player in history. Coincidentally, all M.I.R.T.H. Faculty members are direct descendents of Mr. Morphy.
